Temperature Range – 65ºF to 400ºF (-54ºC to 204ºC)

The unique construction of tape wrapped convoluted hose combines the properties of PTFE with lighter weight and greater flexibility than any hose of comparable size. As with medium pressure smooth bore hose, tape wrapped convoluted hose is manufactured with both conductive and nonconductive inner cores depending on the demands of the application.

Some applications require a conductive inner liner to dissipate static electrical charges. High resistively fluids or gases at high velocity cause positive electrical charges to build on the inside of the PTFE liner. If not dissipated to the end of the hose, the charge will build until it arcs through the tube wall to the braid causing catastrophic hose failure. To alleviate this, Conrad manufactures a heated hose assembly with a thin conductive liner on the I.D.

Other braid materials such as polyester, polypropylene, nylon and kynar are available for special applications. CH68HV – Non-conductive, PTFE lined, fiberglass reinforced inner-core, spiral wire wrapped, over braided with 300 series stainless steel wire.

CH69HV – Conductive (carbon impregnated), PTFE lined, fiberglass reinforced inner core, spiral wire wrapped, over braided with 300 series stainless steel wire.
