CONRAD
SILICONE RUBBER HEATING BLANKETS
are used where an even application of heat over relatively large
areas is desired. Typical installations include storage drums and
vessels, process and holding tanks, etc.
Conrad silicone heater
blankets
are an efficient and economical method of heating flat, round, or
curved surfaces. Holes, slits, and notches may be located as needed. Maximum economy is realized throughout the selection of appropriate
elemental and sheath materials. Permanent or temporary installation
is facilitated by utilizing various attaching methods.
Silicone Rubber Heating Blankets utilize a heating element which
consists of fine gauge, stranded and stress relieved wire, Nickel
Chrome Iron or Nickel Copper alloys are used throughout for durable
and reliable service. This construction imparts excellent resistance
to damage due to flexing and bending of the blanket. The blanket
sheath is a two-ply or four-ply silicone rubber coated fiberglass
that is vulcanized onto and completely encases and protects the
heating element. Leadwires are mechanically attached to the heating
element for superior high-temperature corrosion protection. The
lead terminations are bonded to the blanket sheath for maximum
pullout resistance.
Silicone Blankets may be permanently installed using adhesives applied
by the customer. Temporary or removable placement for purposes of
maintenance, container cleaning, etc. is facilitated by the addition
of hooks, eyelets, or Velcro® closure attached to the blanket
for this purpose.
UL RATED - Conrad Silicone Rubber Heating Blankets are qualified
under The Underwriters Laboratories Component Recognition File Number
69443 for applications not exceeding 392°F.
